Mannie Fresh New Orleans Concert reviews
Nas is like...
Nas is a very close second in my opinion when it comes to hip hop legends I've seen in concert. Method Man is like the best.
I actually thought it was a Mannie Fresh concert but turns out Nas opened for him. I knew she would be there but thought she was opening for Nas. Doesn't matter - they were both amazing. Not a huge deal but I didn't pay $250 to hear the crowd sing. Oh...she also did that thing where she would sing a word or two then put the mic out to the crowd and have them sing the rest. She did lip sync some but she was dancing a lot so I guess that's pretty standard.
Drinks were expensive of course but we were able to buy an entire bottle of wine for $38 in this cute little container that opens and closes and take it to our seats so there was no need to get up for drinks during the show. Sound was good. Merch was meh...can probably find cooler stuff online. Bathrooms clean, weather awesome. They gave us little plastic cups to drink from too. I couldn't hear for about 30 minutes after leaving. Crowd was awesome - everyone is always fun at these shows bc we are all reminiscing about the good ole days.
Getting dropped off by the Uber was easy. Getting picked up just a tad trickier - you have to walk outside of the parking lot, onto the street and find the car. Wouldn't have done that had Nas been on last, then again he may have come out again at the end with MJB bc they did open together so I may have missed a song or two. We left the show a little earlier to avoid the chaos associated with this.
In summary, seeing Method Man was on my bucket list and Mary J was a sweet cherry on top! They didn't disappoint. Overall a great night!
